About Japan Drive Notes

Japan Drive Notes helps visitors plan road trips in Japan. We check rules, prices and road information against official Japanese sources — police, road operators and local governments — and show the sources and the date we last checked on every page.

Some pages contain affiliate links to rental car and hotel booking services. These never change what we write about rules or safety.
