Chusonji Temple

The central temple of World Heritage Hiraizumi. Nearest exit: Hiraizumi-Maesawa IC on the Tohoku Expressway (80.3 km / about 50 min from Morioka IC, 99.4 km / about 1 h 10 min from Sendai IC). Parking: town-run Lot 1 (about 850 m to the main hall, 148 spaces) and Lot 2 (about 700 m, 322 spaces), plus the Sakanoue lot (about 240 m, 500 yen for cars).
