Kusasenri-ga-hama

A grassland on Mt Aso, about 80 minutes by car from central Kumamoto and 50 minutes from Aso Kumamoto Airport. Parking is paid: 500 yen per car, a joint ticket for both the Aso summit plaza and Kusasenri car parks. The Aso-san park road can be closed while restrictions around the crater are in force.
